Circular Regarding Tanker Cleaning Facilities which forms the legal basis for KTTD's (The Turkish Association Of Chemical Transport Equipment Cleaners) activities, was published on 29.01.2009 and remains in force.
The cleaning of tanker-type vehicles and containers, tankers, tank containers, iso-containers, and packaging such as IBC tanks, plastic drums and jerrycans, must be carried out in accordance with the Circular Regarding Tanker Cleaning Facilities.
KTTD is authorised to provide cleaning stations with the Cleaning Certificate, to monitor these certificates, and to submit the related data to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change (T.C. Çevre, Şehircilik ve İklim Değişikliği Bakanlığı).
KTTD is obliged to protect the personal data of the individuals who carry out and manage the cleaning procedures, cleaning operations, transport operations and all other processes contained within the Cleaning Certificates it monitors.
KTTD is the sole Turkish member of EFTCO (The European Federation of Tank Cleaning Organisations), an organisation that national associations may join.
KTTD provides the ECD (EFTCO Cleaning Document) to its members that have successfully completed and been certified through the SQAS audit, subject to EFTCO's approval.
KTTD is likewise obliged to protect the personal data of the individuals who carry out and manage the cleaning procedures, cleaning operations, transport operations and all other processes contained within the ECD documents it monitors.
KTTD is obliged to protect the personal data of the natural and legal people contained within the application documents submitted by prospective members in order to complete their membership process.
Data requested pursuant to our legal obligation may be transferred to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change, and, upon request, to authorised public institutions and organisations, and, within the scope of carrying out ECD processes, to EFTCO. Other than this, data belonging to legal entities or natural persons is not shared with third parties and is retained for the period necessary for the purpose for which it is processed, taking into account the minimum retention periods stipulated in the applicable regulation.
